We’ve probably heard about jump rope when we were still kids. Or perhaps we’ve been jump roping ourselves for the purpose of play and in the process developed the good looks that our bodies  possess today.

 

The benefits of jump rope are time tested. Doing the jump rope  as part of one’s routine will definitely get one into a better shape , and more.  Studies reveal that doing a jump rope  for  less than a quarter of an hour sheds off 135 calories. This amazing feat is made possible  because when we  jump rope, our  body parts and muscles  move, starting  from the shoulders down to the legs.  Jump rope may sound like child’s play, but it works.

  1. Jumping high enough from  the floor so the  rope can pass from under your feet without entangling you up or making you miss a skip;
  2. Adjusting your arms and properly  placing  them at the sides while  swinging the rope and jumping; swinging  the rope with your wrists; keeping the shoulders at rest  at all times;
  3. Completing the exercise even when you’re already getting tired, letting go of the jump rope but not stopping the motion of your limbs; and
  4. Getting the right jump rope size for better results.
